Shree Naranbhai Makanbhai Patel

This is a summary of a report written by Shree Naran Makan, Chairperson of the Shree Ramji Mandir and Samaj Mandir Navsarvajan Committee, and Shree Giresh Nathu, Sarpanch and Panchayat Committee Leader.

1. The road from the school to Keslavadi has been tar sealed.

2. The metal road to Sagara village has been upgraded. This could bring two more bus services to our village.

3. A dam is being built to catch waste irrigation water flowing between Tavdi and Mirjapore. This water will be diverted to irrigation ponds at the eastern end of the village for agriculture.

4. A bridge for cattle is to be built to the Arnkadyu grazing land. The Keti Samudayak Mandal will pay this for.

5. A smaller cattle bridge will be built across the Kochyu. The Nehr Kata (Irrigation Board) will pay this for.

6. The new main irrigation pipeline is incomplete because it did not have permission to cross the railway line. Shree Kasiram Rana (MP) has helped to resolve this problem and work will commence at Dewali. In the mean time water is being supplied to the Katiyawadi talav and other irrigation ponds at the western end of the village.

7. Our Member of Parliament has donated a new bus stop at the village school.

8. A new road into Jalapore faryu, costing Rs 60,000 has been paid for on a 50/50 scheme. A new concrete road into the Haripati vaas has also been approved.

9. A posta, a wooden structure to stop land being washed away, costing Rs 900,000 has been constructed on the north bank of the Poorna River. A site meeting discussing a second posta has been held with the District Collector.

10. The village water well has been rebuilt by the family of the late Naran Morar at a cost of Rs 70,000.

11. The family of Dahya Kanji has constructed a new covered havadoh, cattle trough, in the Dodhyu. He also donated uniforms for the school children and blankets for needy house holds.

12. The Ganesh Garba Mandal has donated Rs 11,111 for the new Ramji Mandir.

13. Shree Naran Makan has established a trust in the name of Shree Ramiben Naran with a generous donation of Rs 500,000. The purpose of the trust is to provide free drinking water to the village, and humanitarian aid and welfare for villagers in need.
