Report
This is a summary of recent progress
in our village translated from a report
received from Shri Naranbhai Makan Chairperson
of the Shri Ramji Mandir and Samaj Mandir
Navsarjan Committee.
- A new electricity transformer placed near the Ambaji Mandir
will solve the low voltage problem for our village. This was
done with the help from our MP, Shri Kasiram Rana.
- The Flood Protection Dam near the Harijanvas has been damaged
by recent floods and is being repaired with a concrete footing
by the government.
- Repairs to the Flood Protection Dam near the 'Dohri' are under
negotiation.
- The Gujarat Water Works has surveyed a new water pipeline.
Construction may start after Diwali.
- Our main road from Manikpore to the Tavdi Railway Crossing
has been badly damaged by the monsoon. The road authority has
been approached to repair it.
- The Tavdi-Sagara metal road was damaged by rain and is being
repaired again.
- One bus from Maroli is routed through this Tavdi-Sagara road.
More bus services are requested.
- Village roads have been damaged by the monsoon. The Panchayat
will repair them.
- A road into Parsivad, being made by the Taluka Panchayat.
- A road into Tata-nagar (Mashadoh) will begin after Diwali.
- The local residents will make a road into Jalalpore faliu,
with a 50:50 contribution.
- A bridge into Sankar falia is being repaired, with some contribution
made by the local residents.
- The cattle bridge over the 'Korchyu' will be built after Dewali.
- The Garm talav is being made deeper with a grant from the
government.
- The 'Katyavadi' talav will also be made deeper this year.
- Repairs to the check dam between Tavdi and Mirjapore have
been proposed. A channel will take irrigation water to the 'Panjar'
rice paddies and the 'Sarrankani' talav
- The main agricultural irrigation pipeline 'neher' still has
a problem, in crossing the railway line, thus delaying its completion.
Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
- An election for the Village Panchayat will be held in the
next two months. An administrator has been appointed in the
mean time.
- A 'wan kutri' forest hut is being built near the 'Awaro' (washing
steps).
- Sewing classes are being held in the village.
- Ramanbhai Bhana Morar called a meeting for the Tavdi Education
Project in our village. A committee of interested persons was
nominated.
