Irrigation Project

For many years Tavdi has been waiting for an irrigation system to provide much needed water for crops. Although tremendous effort has been put into this during the past few years, there has been no success. Neighbouring villages have, however, benefited from irrigation schemes.

At long last Tavdi Village now has an irrigation scheme, thanks to financial help from Shree Babubhai Bhikabhai Patel of New Zealand and the hard work, dedication and effort of all the villagers.

This project is very important to our village and although only the beginning, on-going help from villagers is essential for success. We thank Shree Babubhai Bhikabhai Patel for supporting the irrigation project.

Shree Babubhai Bhikabhai Patel donated 1000 mango trees to the village.
