Education Project

A view of many Tavdi residents living in the UK and during a routine Tavdi meeting held in Leicester, it was a concern raised by many people about the Primary Education In Tavdi. Therafter as I was going away for a holiday to India in Jan/ Feb 2000 I with keen interest together with other UK residents visited the Tavdi Primary School three to four times during our journey.

I successfully had a meeting with the head master and many respectable elders. We came to the conclusion that the standard of primary education of our village was very low. There were several reasons for this.

We therefore prepared a 10 year plan and then discussed this plan at the Annual General Meeting of Tavdi Sudharak Mandal UK and there was certainly a keen interest of this plan and were prepared to help with this. We decided to open an education fund account and would welcome any suggestions or views on this issue.
